Chair 5

About Us

Chair 5 is the resident bar in Girdwood and is affectionally called “the Dive”. So if you want to see and meet the locals, this is the place to go. Chair 5 Restaurant was conceived on a rainy night in 1982. The restaurant opened January 23, 1983 on Crow Creek Road. Following a fire which burned the building to the ground on May 17th, 1987, we moved to our present home (formerly Rosy’s Ice Cream Parlor) in October of ’87 and have been here since.

Our restaurant has both a dining room and bar/ eating area. The dining room is for families, events and large parties looking for a quiet, environment. On the bar side, there is seating in an atrium, at the bar and around the pool tables. The decor is rustic with Girdwood Flair!

We are opened from 11am-11pm everyday and we welcome all guest in for lunch, dinner or a quick drink. Our food is made from scratch so once here, kick back, relax and enjoy the vibe!

Cuisines & Services

We specialize in American Food and are well known for our deep dish pizza. It takes a while to bake but so worth the wait.

We have a number of delicious home-made gourmet burgers that are bound to please.

Living so close to the ocean, we offer some very nice seafood plates with shrimp, salmon and halibut as the main course.

The drink selection is where we stand out! We have over 30 single malts, 60 different micro brews and 40 tequilas.

HOUSE RULES:

1) Absolutely No gunfights, fist fights, food fights or cursing.
2) We are a non-smoking establishment
3) The Pool Table is off limits to those under 21 after 5 p.m. Before 5 p.m., children over 10 may play only if parents are physically present.
