Their daily dog sledding tours on Punchbowl Glacier can’t be missed! Start with a scenic helicopter flight to the glacier. There you will be greeted by mushers and friendly huskies trained by Mitch Seavey, an Iditarod champion! Meet the dogs, take a ride on the sled, and enjoy the glacier views! This tour is fun for all ages and is sure to be a highlight of your Alaska vacation.

Alpine Air Alaska first took flight in 1991 and we have been offering helicopter tours longer than anyone in Southcentral Alaska. We offer fantastic Helicopter Flightseeing Tours in Girdwood. There are few things more spectacular than touring Alaska by helicopter. Experience the pure enthusiasm of Alaskan Huskies while mushing on an alpine snowfield. This is unique Alaska experience you’ll always remember.
The tour begins with a 15-min helicopter ride to PunchBowl Glacier. Here you will meet our mushers and they will introduce you to the friendly Alaskan Huskies. Our dogs have been trained by our partner, Mitch Seavey, three-time Iditarod Champion.
Next, you’re on the sled for an exhilarating 2K-to-3K loop on the snow, surrounded by a gorgeous backdrop of glaciers and mountains.
