Alaska Drift Away Fishing specializes in professionally guided fishing & premium lodging on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers. You have the choice to pick one of our guided day trips or multi-day custom packages at our deluxe fishing lodge located on the banks of the Middle Kenai River. Your custom needs are met by our knowledgeable staff when planning your fishing vacation.
There are few places that offer you a more exhilarating, challenging, and rewarding fishing experience. The pristine waters of the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers are home to huge populations of Rainbow Trout and several species of Alaska Salmon. Nowhere else on the Kenai Peninsula will you receive an Alaskan fishing trip quite like the one we offer. We can accommodate anyone on our trips, from the absolute novice to the experienced angler.

Alaska is our playground and we love what we do! Alaska Drift Away Fishing was born 15 years ago, and we are all Alaskan residents who have been fishing Alaska for at least the past 18 seasons. Our angling experience and innovative tactics for finding rainbow trout, king, silver and red salmon will guarantee you a successful day on the river. We also use top-of-the-line rods, reels, equipment, and boats. All of our gear is chosen specifically for the river and species it is used on.

Fish and Lodging Packages
Rest easy in one of our spacious private cabins located on 8.5 acres of land. Each cabin has 1 to 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a living area. Enjoy our lodge's perks that include: on property staff, community fireplace, newly renovated vacuum packing & freezer room, laundry facilities, and wifi. This is pair with one of our fishing excursions.

Trout Fishing
Alaska rainbow trout fishing is the best in the world due to the millions of salmon that return to its rivers each summer. Rainbow trout devour the eggs and carcasses from spawning salmon, this incredible food source allows Alaska rainbow trout to reach epic proportions.
The Kenai River is one of the best and most accessible rainbow trout fisheries in Alaska. 10lb rainbow trout frequent the net, and while tangling with bows over 15lbs is not uncommon, landing them is another story. Experiencing the battle of a wild, native, Kenai River rainbow trout will turn your once in a lifetime Alaska fishing trip into an annual event.
Day Trips
We offer day trip fishing excursion through out the summer fishing season. You can purchase a seat for the whole day, 6 hours or 1/2 day floats. Each boat holds up to 4 people.
Alaska Drift Away Fishing offers guests the opportunity to purchase the boat exclusively for the day without having to pay for the whole boat. With fishing day trips the Private Boat option provides:

Salmon Fishing
When folks think of Alaska salmon fishing, they envision battling chrome wild salmon on a majestic river with mountains framing the backdrop. The guides of Alaska Drift Away Fishing are here to help make that vision come to life! The Kenai and Kasilof Rivers, located on the Kenai Peninsula, are world-class waters that host four out of five species of salmon.
YOU, the angler, and YOUR trip is our top priority. Whether hunting first-run king salmon on the Kasilof river, filling the freezer with red salmon, or fly fishing silvers on the turquoise water of the Kenai, we have you covered. We customize your trip according to the time of year and salmon species you want to target. Each month offers a different species of salmon, and each species offers a different technique and experience.
Location
We are located 2.5 hours from Anchorage in Soldotna, Alaska. Our physical address 35930 Janota Circle but all trips meet and depart from Izaac Walton State Park Boat Launch.
